core responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer I, you will bring a high level of technical knowledge as well as strong mentoring abilities. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will work closely with a Technology Manager, using your experience and knowledge to guide a team of Engineers though their day-to-day process, and provide a central escalation point for production concerns. You will be part of an Agile production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. As a Senior Engineer I, you would be a primary caretaker of production systems and would maintain a deep understanding of how delivered products are functioning.

• Are a main contributor in Agile ceremonies
• Provide mentorship and facilitate engineering training for a team of Engineers
• Perform and delegate engineering assignments to ensure production readiness is maintained
• Conduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts
• Conduct research to guide product development and tools selection
• Provide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations
• Actively monitor key metrics and report on trends
• Participate in our Engineering Community of Practice
• Contribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systems
• Contribute to project engineering design and standards verification
• Implement and maintain observability practices (structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing) to ensure end-to-end visibility and faster issue diagnosis.
• Champion DataOps principles — version-controlled data transformations, automated testing, continuous integration/deployment, and data quality validation.
• Design and implement dimensional data models (fact/dimension structures) to enable performant and consistent analytics.
• Contribute to and maintain the semantic layer to ensure standardized business definitions and metrics across reporting tools.
• Apply Medallion architecture principles (bronze, silver, gold) to structure data pipelines for scalability, quality, and clear lineage.

qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science with 5-8 years' experience
• Innovate and develop interactive dashboards and insightful visual reports with Power BI (PBI) to support data‑driven decision‑making
• Design and optimize modern data warehousing solutions on Snowflake to enable high‑performance analytics and seamless scalability
• Contribute and develop Data Engineering pipelines to collect, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources for analytics and reporting
• Experience with day-to-day tools such as Jira, PagerDuty, ServiceNow is nice to have
• Experience with Git and CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience applying observability and monitoring tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, Datadog) to instrument data systems.
• Proven ability to apply DataOps methodologies for reliable and automated data delivery workflows.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and semantic modeling concepts (Power BI, dbt Semantic Layer, etc.).
• Familiarity with Medallion or layered data architecture to manage transformations from raw to curated data sets.
• Experience implementing structured logging and tracing patterns within data pipelines to enhance transparency and diagnostics.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $123,500 - $162,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
