Controller – Aerospace & Manufacturing Operations
Location:
Winnipeg, MB

Salary:
$110,000–$115,000 CAD + 15% bonus

Schedule:
Monday–Friday onsite (1 flexible day; full team in daily)

Our client, a large publicly traded company in aerospace and manufacturing, is seeking a Controller to lead a small finance team of 4–5 junior accountants. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on balance sheet accounting, compliance, reporting, and mentoring staff. The position offers the opportunity to support executive leadership, improve financial processes, and drive team development in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end P&L processes
  • Support executive leadership with financial reporting and special projects
  • Oversee month-end close and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Participate in hands-on accounting work as needed, including general ledger and reconciliations
  • Collaborate across teams to provide financial insights and recommendations

What You Need To Succeed

  • 4–6+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in manufacturing, aerospace, or distribution
  • People management experience and ability to develop and mentor staff
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
  • CPA, CMA, or CGA preferred, but strong experience with team leadership considered
  • Experience with Oracle preferred; PowerBI helpful but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
