The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient receiving, storage, organization, and fulfillment of inventory within the warehouse. This role requires prior warehouse experience, safe forklift operation, and disciplined inventory handling practices, including shelving, front-facing stock, and strict adherence to FIFO methodology.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory Put-Away

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and product condition.
  • Label, store, and place inventory in designated warehouse locations accurately.
  • Ensure inventory is properly shelved and organized upon receipt.

Forklift & Material Handling

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Load, unload, move, and stack pallets and heavy items.
  • Conduct basic equipment inspections and report any issues.

Inventory Management & Organization

  • Maintain clean, organized shelving and racking systems.
  • Ensure all products are front-faced, clearly labeled, and accessible.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory methodology at all times.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts.

Order Fulfillment

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare shipments for courier pickup and internal transfers.
  • Maintain packing standards to prevent damage during shipping.
  • Assist with order fulfillment and inventory updates in Shopify.

Warehouse Standards & Safety

  • Keep aisles, shelves, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Use PPE as required and report hazards or incidents immediately.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of shelving, stocking, and front-facing inventory.
  • Working knowledge of FIFO inventory methodology.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Shopify for order fulfillment and inventory adjustments.
  • Experience in e-commerce fulfillment or retail warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
