Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Site Labourer to support day-to-day operations on multi-family residential construction projects. This is a hands-on role focused on general labour, site cleanliness, safety, and supporting trades and site staff. Ideal for someone with construction labour experience who takes pride in a well-run job site and wants steady, long-term work.

Key Responsibilities

General Labour Duties

  • Load, unload, move, and stage construction materials throughout the site
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas including suites, common areas, stairwells, and parkades
  • Remove garbage, debris, and scrap materials regularly
  • Assist with site setup including hoarding, barriers, fencing, signage, and protection
  • Install and maintain floor, wall, and weather protection
  • Support trades and site staff with material handling and basic assistance
  • Assist with concrete prep, minor patching, and formwork support as directed
  • Perform basic carpentry or repair tasks when required (blocking, backing, minor framing)
  • Assist with suite turnovers, deficiencies, and inspection preparation

Site Support

  • Follow daily instructions and work plans from the Site Supervisor
  • Communicate material shortages, damage, or site issues promptly
  • Adapt to changing site priorities and schedules
  • Work cooperatively with site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers

Safety

  • Follow all company safety policies, site rules, and OH&S regulations
  • Wear required PPE at all times
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards

Professionalism

  • Take pride in workmanship and jobsite appearance
  • Protect completed work from damage
  • Be reliable, punctual, and respectful on site
  • Represent the company professionally at all times

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of construction labour experience preferred
  • Experience on residential or multi-family sites is an asset
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual labour
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in active construction environments
  • Knowledge of site safety practices and OH&S requirements
  • Valid safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
