We're now adding to our DevOps engineering team and looking for a hands-on, startup-savvy experienced professional to help us level up. Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. This role is well-suited for an engineer with deep experience managing multi-account AWS environments, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and operating containerized workloads with infrastructure defined and managed through Terraform. 

In addition to enhancing our core infrastructure, a key focus for this role will be to mentor our existing DevOps resources and elevate the technical skills of the team to rapidly increase our Agile and delivery maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize multi-account AWS environments, including account structure, IAM, networking, and governance
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support diverse AWS workloads and environments, including containerized applications.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for AWS resources and environments
• Build, deploy, and operate containerized applications on our AWS infrastructure, managing their full lifecycle from development to production.
• Implement best practices for security, reliability, and cost optimization in AWS
• Establish and maintain observability across infrastructure and applications (logging, monitoring, alerting)
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Automate operational processes to improve deployment velocity and system reliability
• Partner with software engineering teams to support application architecture, deployments, and scalability
• Mentor engineers and contribute to DevOps standards, documentation, and technical strategy
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, including multi-account environments
• Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code in production environments
• Deep experience with  container-based application delivery
• Strong operational experience with AWS Fargate(EKS/ECS strongly preferred)
• Proven expertise building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)
• Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Sumo Logic, Cloudflare, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash
• Strong Linux systems knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing AWS landing zones and governance models
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, least privilege)
• Experience operating high-availability, production clusters
• Experience with cost optimization and capacity planning in AWS
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA)
• Understanding of SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
