We are currently recruiting Route Sales Drivers for Toronto and the GTA.

In a Nutshell

If you are interested in a challenging and rewarding position, join our team as a Route Sales Representative. This position involves 80% Driving, and 20% Sales. Shifts for this position will be early mornings during the week; occasional, Saturdays, and no evenings.

The Role

  • Drive a designated route to service clients and deliver products from route trucks to customer accounts on a daily basis.
  • Safely operate the company truck /cube van on each trip and comply with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Build customer relationships and loyalty, communicate openly, educate customers, and promptly report customer issues to the Area Supervisor.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to maintain and grow the existing client base.
  • Upsell additional products and continually meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations.
  • Identifying changing customer needs through a constant review of the highest selling products and frequent communication with store managers.
  • Developing all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, product distribution, space allocation and customer service objectives.
  • Selling and executing promotions, soliciting placement of marketing equipment, displays, racks and selling sufficient product inventory for customer volume demands.
  • Accurately prepare sales paperwork, driver inspection forms and time records.
  • Maintain a clean work space to ensure a safe work environment.

Key Qualifications

  • Must have a valid G driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in DSD/Grocery industry
  • Previous sales experience is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent time management skills - able to manage daily deliveries in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Excellent work ethic – able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Travel Requirements

  • Frequently driving or riding by vehicle within a designated sales territory
