Equation Staffing is currently recruiting Outreach Program Managers for our client located in downtown Calgary AB. The Program Manager provides 24/7 leadership and operational support under the direction of the Program Director. This role oversees program delivery, staffing, crisis response, performance management, and reporting. Program Managers ensure high-quality, compassionate care for clients while supporting and developing frontline staff.

Schedule: 3 On / 3 Off
• 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Overnights)
Pay Rate: $31.20/hr (days) to $33.70/hr (nights)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and ensure staff provide respectful, non-judgmental client care.
  • Address and resolve client concerns and staff issues.
  • Train, coach, supervise, and manage staff performance, including progressive discipline.
  • Recruit, onboard, and schedule staff; ensure accurate payroll and shift coverage.
  • Respond to crises (seizures, overdoses, deaths) and provide group and individual debriefings.
  • Maintain safety standards, accreditation requirements, and program audit compliance.
  • Build positive relationships with community agencies and partners.
  • Collect and submit program data and reports.
  • Supervise volunteers and practicum students; lead program and staff meetings.
  • Support other 24/7 programs through overnight check-ins.
  • Assist with emergencies, community concerns, program improvements, and budget management.
  • Provide direct client support when needed and cover staffing gaps.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (2-year diploma minimum; Bachelor's preferred).
  • 3+ years of people management experience with proven coaching and performance management skills.
  • 4+ years of related experience, including work with addictions, mental health, homelessness, or Indigenous populations.
  • Strong understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and withdrawal management.
  • Crisis management experience and strong communication skills with confidentiality.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including overnights; proficient in MS Office.

Position Requirements:
  • Class 5 licence (Non-GDL) and ability to obtain Class 4 within 45 days.
  • Comfortable driving an agency van and using a personal vehicle for work.
  • Ability to work in environments with risk of violence and bodily fluids.
  • Physically able to assist clients with mobility.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months).
  • FOIP Certification.
  • "It's Your Move" or equivalent patient lift training.
