About the Role:

We are seeking hands-on
Commissioning Engineers
with strong Electrical or Mechanical expertise to support the delivery of a large-scale data center project in Toronto. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving technical challenges, and ensuring complex systems operate exactly as designed. You will play a key part in validating the performance, safety, and reliability of critical infrastructure by carrying out detailed testing and system checks across various building services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute commissioning and start-up procedures for
    electrical and mechanical systems
    within a mission-critical environment.
  • Perform equipment and system testing, including FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing.
  • Conduct functional performance checks on systems such as UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, HVAC, cooling systems, pumps, BMS, and fire/life safety equipment.
  • Review installations on-site to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and commissioning requirements.
  • Identify issues found during commissioning and work with contractors and vendors to resolve them.
  • Keep accurate commissioning logs, test sheets, and supporting documentation for project handover.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and help diagnose technical problems during start-up.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years
    of experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role.
  • Technical background in
    Electrical or Mechanical engineering
    , with experience in mission-critical or complex MEP systems.
  • Strong understanding of testing procedures, instrumentation, and verification processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documentation.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Relevant engineering degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Toronto.
