Hi there, thanks for stopping by
We are looking for a highly motivated, tech-savvy, and intellectually curious
Senior Analyst, Finance Transformation
to serve as a catalyst for modernization within our Finance function. In this role, you will serve as the primary digital transformation expert, leveraging technology including Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline workflows and elevate team capabilities. If you are passionate about the intersection of Finance and technology, and possess an inherent desire to challenge the status quo, this unique opportunity will allow you to influence the future of financial operations at Lightspeed and thrive in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Process Optimization & Project Leadership

  • Own small transformation initiatives and provide support to larger team initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and maximum business outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and champion opportunities to optimize core Finance processes, focusing relentlessly on streamlining workflows and minimizing manual tasks.
  • Independently diagnose systemic issues within financial systems and processes, proposing and implementing robust, effective, and compliant solutions.
  • Conduct confident, targeted interviews with stakeholders to meticulously gather all necessary information for project initiation and ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs.
  • Develop and proactively maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed process flowcharts and instructional materials, to support all new and optimized processes.
  • Manage project progress, consistently update work management tools, and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Effectively present key findings and updates in peer reviews and stakeholder meetings.

Technology & Digital Transformation

  • Serve as the Finance department's technology expert, actively exploring and applying artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance process efficiency.
  • Drive strategic technology selection by conducting comprehensive technological assessments, including ROI analysis, vendor research, demo coordination, and industry benchmarking.
  • Proactively conduct thorough risk assessments and impact analyses for all new technologies and automations prior ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
  • Continuously deepen technical expertise through dedicated research and practical application on relevant projects to deliver optimal, cutting-edge solutions.
  • Leverage professional judgment, deep financial knowledge, and ongoing research to issue strategic, data-backed recommendations for technology adoption and process change to senior leadership.

Partnership & Support

  • Serve as a key technical and functional expert, collaborating across various Finance sub-teams to seamlessly implement new systems and solutions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for the Finance department, providing advanced technical support and resolving complex financial system and process issues.
  • Facilitate and lead training sessions and meetings, providing clear, effective explanations and actively mentoring colleagues to elevate the team's knowledge in new technologies and processes.
  • Maintain an acute awareness of the strict SOX compliance environment, ensuring all process optimization propositions are meticulously self-reviewed and validated for impact before implementation.

And a little bit of....

  • Provide support on complex projects and ad hoc analysis

What You Need To Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, coupled with a CPA title.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in an accounting, finance systems, or consulting role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or significantly contributing to finance-focused projects.
  • Proven proficiency in using technologies to automate and improve financial processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a highly disciplined approach to problem-solving.
