Night Shift ICI Site Superintendent
Your new company
We've partnered with an established construction contractor operating across the Southwestern Ontario with a strong track record in industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. The organization is known for its safety‑first culture, hands‑on leadership, and ability to deliver complex builds in live environments. With a major multi‑year project underway, they are looking to add an experienced Site Superintendent to support ongoing site operations.
Your new role
As the Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all night shift construction activities during a critical phase of the project. This role will operate on a night schedule for approximately three to six months, after which the successful candidate will transition to a standard day shift superintendent position for the remainder of the project.
Based on site, you will manage field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality standards. You will work closely with the day shift team to maintain continuity of communication, documentation, and progress reporting. Responsibilities include planning nightly work activities, maintaining safety compliance, coordinating inspections, tracking progress against schedule, and ensuring a seamless handover between shifts.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience as a Site Superintendent delivering industrial, commercial, and or institutional construction projects. Experience working on night shifts, phased work, or occupied sites is considered a strong asset. You will bring a solid understanding of construction drawings, schedules, and site logistics, along with the ability to lead crews and subcontractors in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills, a proactive leadership style, and a commitment to safety are essential. Proficiency with construction management software and general site reporting tools is expected, along with relevant safety certifications.
What you'll get in return
In return, you'll be offered a competitive compensation package aligned with experience, along with benefits and vacation. This is an opportunity to join a respected contractor on a high‑profile project, with the potential to transition into a long‑term day shift role once the night work phase is complete. The organization offers a supportive team environment and values professionalism, accountability, and long‑term collaboration.
