Job description:
Objective: Chick-fil-A Tanger Ottawa is currently seeking team members for the daily restaurant operations.
Restaurant Vision: To have a positive influence on everyone we come in contact within the city of Ottawa.
Role Responsibilities

  • Uphold the restaurant vision, mission, culture and core values

  • Uphold every aspect of our Winning hearts everyday strategy

  • Uphold all Pathway training standards within the restaurant

  • Uphold our models - first & second mile and recovery models

  • Adhere to legislative and restaurant-specific food safety and quality policies and procedures

  • Have a positive attitude and communicate clearly and courteously with fellow team members, guests and third parties alike

  • Perform all relevant standard operating procedures as required (may include handling devices and systems.

  • Maintain an exceptionally clean, orderly, safe, and sanitary work environment

  • Possess the ability to work in a high demand environment while maintaining required safety, quality and speed expectations

  • Possess strong personal characteristics primarily; humility, and a willingness to collaborate and learn

  • Perform additional work duties as assigned by leadership to support business needs

Required skills and working conditions

  • Comfortable working in evening shifts up to 11pm

  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada

  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be available to work Mondays - Saturdays

  • Must be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month

  • Must be comfortable taking guest orders outside in the Drive Thru

Chick-fil-A opened its first Canadian restaurant in 2019. Chick-fil-A was officially founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. He made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose — a practice we uphold today.
