Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient service flow to enhance guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling
  • Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviewing and hiring processes
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Oversee restaurant management tasks including scheduling, cleanliness, and adherence to health codes
  • Assist in kitchen operations as needed, including food serving and hospitality duties
  • Implement best practices in restaurant management to optimize operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • Background in restaurant management or hospitality preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective interviewing, training, and team coordination
  • Knowledge of food industry regulations and standards for food handling and safety
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.90 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
