Part-Time Pest Control & Property Support Technician

Red Sands Properties is seeking a reliable, hands-on Pest Control & Property Support Technician to join our growing team. This role goes beyond traditional pest control and supports the ongoing maintenance, inspections, and seasonal operations of our residential and commercial properties across Prince Edward Island.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys varied workdays, working independently, and being in the field.

Start Date: Winter 2026

Job Type: Part-time, permanent

Location: On the road, Prince Edward Island (based out of Charlottetown)

Compensation & Benefits

· Pay Range: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

· 3-month probation period

· Company benefits available after 6 months

· 2 weeks paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Job Description

As a Pest Control & Property Support Technician, you will be responsible for pest control services as well as general property support tasks across Red Sands' portfolio. You will work independently and alongside internal teams to ensure properties are maintained, inspected, and ready for tenants or guests.

This role includes fixed workdays each week assigned to specific locations across PEI, allowing for consistent routing and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform residential and commercial pest control services

· Conduct interior and exterior property inspections

· Identify pest activity, entry points, and prevention measures

· Safely apply pest control treatments including pesticides, baits, and traps

· Complete offseason interior inspections and routine exterior inspections

· Garbage and debris removal when required

· Carry out small maintenance tasks and minor repairs

· Assist with seasonal cottage openings and closings

· Support company moves and logistical needs when required

· Educate tenants, homeowners, and clients on pest prevention and property care

· Maintain accurate service records, inspection notes, and treatment logs

· Maintain and properly store pest control equipment and materials

· Follow all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures

· Communicate professionally with tenants, homeowners, and internal team members

Qualifications & Requirements

· Minimum 2 years of pest control experience preferred

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Pest control training or certification considered an asset

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Comfortable performing light physical work in various weather conditions

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
