About Sanctuary:
Sanctuary is Canada's first retirement residence operating under the Green House model—an innovative small-home approach that redefines elder care. Our focus is on creating a real home environment where elders are at the center of everything we do. We believe relationships, autonomy, and meaningful life are as essential as quality clinical care.

The Charge Nurse provides clinical leadership within small households, ensuring that care practices align with the Green House philosophy and that elders experience dignity, purpose, and well-being each day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team of nurses to deliver holistic, person-directed care.
- Foster an elder-centered culture that emphasizes relationships, autonomy, and meaningful engagement.
- Oversee clinical care planning, assessments, and medication management for each elder.
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, individualized care.
- Model and promote consistent, high-quality nursing practices aligned with regulatory and Sanctuary standards.
- Participate in staff training, mentoring, and development to sustain a positive, empowered team environment.
- Monitor health and safety standards, infection control, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and help shape an innovative care culture.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in long-term care, assisted living, or community health (leadership experience preferred).
- Passion for elder-centered care.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire and mentor care partners in a collaborative environment.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Familiarity working with Point Click Care
