About the Role -In this role as District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for defining and managing the company's sales team, infrastructure and go-to-market model infrastructure to achieve our strategic, sales, and revenue goals as well as industry-leading customer satisfaction levels withing the defined area, and within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, execution and measurement of long and short-range sales and go-to-market planning, team, sales processes, and customer success.
  • Develop the sales and operating plans and establish plans for maintaining the highest level of efficiency, integrity, service-levels, quality, and accuracies within the sales and customer-focused functions to achieve company's goals and strategies
  • Work with the sales leadership team, marketing team, and district sales team / area sales managers to formulate and execute sales, marketing and customer success initiatives.
  • Creating and executing an ongoing strategic plan and process to effectively develop and manage your assigned area, driving growth and profitability
  • Establishing relationships with key decision makers and influencers within your area of responsibility and among team members supporting bidadoo's customers
  • Own all customer commitments and agreement – their completeness and accuracy, compliance, timely execution, delivery of equipment, titles, liens, registrations and other documentation, completion of repairs and make-ready, and the execution of all other contractual requirements
  • Serve as the lead in fostering a culture of clear direct communication within the area and throughout the company so that roles and responsibilities are understood, cross-function cooperation is encouraged, and team member engagement is maximized
  • Ensure all aspects of sales process and customer lifecycle are carried out: complete appraisals, manage sales strategy and process, balance risk on opportunities including the consideration of longer term implications, resolve / approve value debt issues and participate in the preparation and presentation of all large customer deals.
  • Ensuring team is generating leads for both buyers and sellers and filling your region's sales pipeline with items for each weekly auction, marketplace and other sales channels
  • Consulting with customers on the valuation and sales estimates of machinery and equipment. Driving the appraisal process and turnaround timeline.
  • Training, coaching, mentoring, and leading team to use tools to sell the bidadoo value and represent the company with bidadoo Pride, industry expertise, being a Trusted Advisor to our customers
  • Building buyer and seller value via auction day contact campaigns to drive buyer activities, develop relationships with buyer pool and deliver bidadoo pride
  • Hires, trains, develops and evaluates personnel. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state and local regulations as well as safety procedures. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.

Requirements:

Background/ Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of proven sales leadership experience, including managing remote outside/field sales teams.
  • Experience with heavy equipment and machinery, such as construction equipment, agriculture equipment, trucks, or industrial equipment
  • Proven revenue attainment record through proactive lead generation and consultative selling techniques
  • The ability to plan strategically and accurately manage forecasts and budgets
  • Familiarity and experience with internet technologies and sales
  • Background in the areas which would be helpful include: new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, business valuation and appraisal consulting, equipment auctions, etc.
  • Experience with buying and/or selling over the internet would be beneficial
  • Strong people, partner and team management experience
  • Experience with many internet technologies, including eBay, etc. useful, but not required
  • Attention to detail and somewhat mechanically inclined with relevant equipment
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and a great team player
  • Experience proven management and team-building skills
  • Vertical expertise – helpful background includes heavy equipment; machinery, construction equipment rental, service and sales/marketing, auction sales, remarketing, etc.
  • Self-motivated with skills and attitude to excel in a start-up/entrepreneurial/team-oriented environment

Pay range and compensation package - base salary, commission program, company vehicle, medical, 401K and paid vacation.
