We are hiring a long-term, stable Working Supervisor with more than 10 years of experience in glass fabrication and glass tempering. This is a key leadership role for someone who knows the industry inside out and wants to grow with a fast-paced and expanding company.

About the Role

As a Working Supervisor, you will oversee daily production on the fabrication and tempering floor while also working hands-on during busy hours. You'll lead operators, maintain quality and safety, and keep jobs moving smoothly through cutting, CNC, edging, tempering, and packing. We need someone experienced, reliable, and committed to long-term stability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support operators across all production stations (cutting, CNC, edging, tempering, packing).
  • Work directly on the floor to support daily operations and cover gaps when needed.
  • Prioritize and schedule jobs based on production deadlines.
  • Maintain high quality standards and review jobs before they move to the next stage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure machinery is ready to run.
  • Enforce all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Train and mentor new and existing staff.
  • Monitor operator hours and manage overtime effectively.
  • Communicate production issues, material shortages, and risks to management.
  • Prepare end-of-day production and shift reports.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in glass fabrication and tempering (mandatory).
  • Strong supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of CNC machines, cutting tables, and tempering furnaces.
  • Ability to lead a team and make fast, smart decisions on the floor.
  • Ability to read drawings, measurements, and job tickets accurately.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and quality control.
  • Physically capable of handling glass and working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Forklift certification is an asset.
