Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Grocery Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with product merchandising, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for our customers. This role involves handling transactions, maintaining store presentation, and supporting sales efforts to meet store goals. Bilingual skills and familiarity with retail technology are highly valued to enhance communication and efficiency.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems for checkout, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
  • Restock shelves and organize products to ensure attractive displays and proper merchandising
  • Conduct product demos and upsell items to increase sales opportunities
  • Provide product information and answer customer inquiries effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout areas
  • Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts
  • Assist with phone inquiries, scheduling, and other customer service tasks as needed
  • Ensure adherence to store policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Experience with retail POS systems and cashiering procedures
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays
  • Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively
  • Good organizational skills for stock management and store upkeep
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Phone etiquette for professional customer interactions
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with technology sales or technical sales is advantageous but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
