This role will perform these duties in a friendly and professional manner always and ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Other duties will include general cleaning duties, removing used dishes and other place settings, and complying with all policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all dishes, glasses, and cutlery are clean for table settingClean agreed designated areas, in accordance with procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirementsStock and maintain all cleaning materialsClean and refill cruet and condiment setsEnsure that flowers and table decorations are fresh and comply with agreed standardsSet tables to standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repairEnsure stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen, or other established needs, be they food or equipmentCheck orders for accuracy and ensure timely delivery from the kitchenEnsure that tables are cleaned as soon as it is apparent that guests have finished their food or drink Be aware of and practice good guest relations always, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other guestsMay assist in light food preparationsRemove waste and recycling for proper disposalAssist with setup and breakdown of dining areas, buffets, and event spaces if applicableWelcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests' names when possibleCompliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety programAdhere to all environmental policies and programs as requiredOther duties as assignedRequirementsAt least one year of related work experience Smart Serve certificationKnowledge of basic sanitation controls and purpose and use of cleaning suppliesMust possess excellent customer service skills Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracyAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWorks well as part of a teamWorking Conditions Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysRequired to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistanceStand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shiftReach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfacesJoin our team and make every day feel like Friday. *All candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
