LeadingAheadEnergy (LAE) is a rapidly growing company specializing in the delivery of
electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects. As an independent advisor and supplier, we adopt a technology-agnostic approach, providing our clients with access to the most effective EV charging solutions and energy storage available in the market. LeadingAhead Energy offers comprehensive turnkey solutions, guiding clients from design specification advice in the pre- construction phase to supply, installation, project management, and ongoing operation of EV charging infrastructure and energy storage. Our projects span across Canada and the USA.
Position Overview:
The Market Development role at LAE is a pivotal role in ensuring the company's success. Supporting the sales team, the market development position will be at the forefront of developing new strategic alliances in key verticals. This position provides a multitude of opportunities within the sale cycle including attending first prospect contacts, various events, trade shows, lunch & earns, and learning from our project management team and grow within our team. This is a critical position as the sales department is the bloodstream of a company which is imperative for the applicant to understand. The role is located at our Downtown Vancouver office and will allow for occasional work-from-home as we
strongly believe in team building and cooperation.
Description:
The role opened position is to fill the need of a fast-growing company requiring
additional market development support.
Prospect new clients (email, phone, networking, publishing)
Generating new leads
Creating new market prospecting lists
Update CRM during the whole sales cycle
Meet sales objectives and targets
Schedule meetings
Assist and support on preparation of proposals and estimates
Build long-term relationships with clients
Reach out and partner with local associations
Learn industry government incentives within target markets
Become familiar with and learn about the industry
Conduct lunch & learns with key target market
Attend industry events.
Attend conferences.
What We Are Looking For
Strong knowledge and experience in the electric vehicle charging industry
Experience in sales
Being resilient, efficient, and hard-working
Self-Motivated & Driven individual
Bilingual French/English is a huge plus
Ability to work in an office
Undergraduate Degree
Knowledge in the real estate/construction industry a plus
Great social skills
Experience working with/in Real Estate

Compensation:

What We Do
LAE provides a turnkey solution to delivering EV charging and energy storage projects from
consulting, design, specification, hardware procurement, project management, installation, and maintenance. Having access to many different solutions, hardware, and software, we provide both portfolio-level strategic advice and site-level technical expertise. We add value to clients' projects by ensuring the charging service is future-proofed and delivers on the business case.
About the Industry
If you haven't heard about electric vehicles or energy storage by now, you are most likely not the right fit for this position. The industry is currently booming and evolving rapidly, whether it is in the charging infrastructure space, battery energy storage systems, fleet electrification, EV networks, and
everything in between. With an estimated $125B in investment needed by 2030 to support the EV growth and support the grid, room for growth and opportunities are substantial.
