Lead Field Operator Vegetation Management
1 week ago
TO APPLY: Read the entire job post and follow the instructions outlined in the post.
$36-$40/hour.
Company Truck Provided & Overtime pay.
Location: Lower Mainland.
Introduction
Founding field operator for Ascent Yard Care in the Lower Mainland, 36 to 40 dollars per hour, company truck, full autonomy.
Spend a paid week in Victoria with our elite crew to learn the system, then launch and lead our Vancouver operation starting March 1.
A second hire joins you on May 1 so you become the standard they follow and the anchor of a tight knit crew.
Mission
Ascent Yard Care is restoring balance to British Columbia's ecosystems by eradicating the invasive plants that threaten our planet's biodiversity.
We are building the most advanced field operation in Canada to eliminate invasive plants and regenerate natural ecosystems at scale.
We're not hiring an assistant. We're hiring an operator.
Ascent is a leading company on Vancouver Island and started serving select customers in the Lower Mainland in spring 2025. We are now hiring a full time, year round operator to handle and grow our Lower Mainland operations.
You'll be the founding operator in the city, the one who sets the standard others will follow. A second Vancouver hire joins on May 1, and you'll be the one they learn from and build a tight knit crew with.
You'll run a fully outfitted and equipped company truck (no trailer) and execute jobs across the Lower Mainland. Every hour is paid, every kilometer is covered. You'll have the best tools, full autonomy, and direct support from HQ.
Ascent does high impact work with unmatched efficiency to create results that truly matter to our customers.
About Us
At Ascent, we create beautiful finished products that are rooted in true customer needs.
As an Ascender you ensure that we aren't just working, but that we are creating a big impact on every property, and doing it in record time.
You prioritize efficiency and stay laser-focused on the right problem at the right time. You are central to the delivery of our services.
Your ability to balance impact and efficiency is as good as your ability to balance customer needs and the finished product. You can adapt to new challenges like a pro. We're an end-to-end tree, hedge and garden service so we'll need your strategic thinking and fast paced production rate at every stage of the game, from arrival on-site to project execution to final cleanup.
