Youth Wellness Liaison

Salary:
$ $74,663 - $88,662 - $102,660 per year (pay range explained below)

Term - 2 years

Hours:
Core hours 9am-5pm Mon-Fri

Location:
Park Royal Office, West Vancouver located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations

About The Role
As Youth Wellness Liaison, you will provide subject matter expertise and guidance related to health and wellness programs, initiatives, and services which support youth in the FNHA Vancouver Coastal Region and its communities. This includes working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide advice and guidance in development and implementation of programming and policies to address youth needs, as well as increase education and prevention awareness. In this role, you will promote youth and LGB2QIA2S+wellness throughout the Region and through initiatives such as life preservation, public health literacy and public health promotion.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Social Services, Education, Child and Youth Care, Indigenous Studies or Psychology, plus recent and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (usually acquired over a period of 1-2 years)
  • Experience working with First Nations
  • Experience working and/or interacting with youth, families and LGBTQIA2s+

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, an understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols in work situations
  • Knowledge of BC health systems and service.
  • Knowledge of the concepts related community planning and systems-based child and youth care
  • Knowledge of program planning, implementation, management and evaluation

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
