What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development of Venn's first mobile app using React Native, bringing our web experience to iOS and Android
  • Take ownership of the full mobile development lifecycle from architecture and design to build, testing, and deployment
  • Work closely with design, product, and backend engineering to ensure the mobile app feels seamless, performant, and secure
  • Make key decisions around mobile architecture, tooling, and frameworks to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability
  • Implement mobile-specific optimizations and ensure compliance with platform standards (App Store, Google Play, etc.)
  • Establish best practices for mobile development and lay the foundation for a mobile engineering function at Venn

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile development
  • Proven expertise in React Native, TypeScript with apps shipped to both iOS and Android
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, APIs, offline sync, security, and performance optimization
  • Experience integrating mobile apps with complex backend systems and APIs
  • Ownership of mobile CI/CD, app store deployment, and monitoring tools
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with product, design, and backend teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and excited to be the first mobile engineer leading the build of Venn's mobile experience end to end
