Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Carpenter/Handyman to support our home building operations. This position involves a wide range of carpentry and general construction tasks, including framing work, small alterations, service requests, and project support. The ideal candidate is versatile, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential carpentry tasks, including framing basements, back framing, and general interior/exterior alterations
  • Interpret and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Complete service and warranty-related repairs as needed
  • Install or adjust doors, trim, hardware, cabinetry, and other finish components
  • Assist with structural or layout modifications during construction
  • Conduct minor general repairs as required to support building operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, homeowners, and team members
  • Ensure work is completed to company quality standards and timelines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Person or in a similar maintenance role preferred.
  • Skilled in multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as required. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute significantly to maintaining a safe and functional environment while developing their skills across various trades.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, handyman, or skilled tradesperson

Assets (Not Required)

  • Basic plumbing, electrical, or general mechanical skills
  • Experience in homebuilding, renovation, or warranty service
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $17.20-$32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Work Location: On the road
