The Beauty Bank is a for profit thrift / commission store dedicated to redefining secondhand beauty and style. We believe everyone deserves to feel confident and valued—without breaking the bank. We are currently looking to open in February.

Position Overview

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the thrift store. This role combines leadership, retail management, and visual merchandising.. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves thrifting and resale culture, and is excited to help build a new business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and organized environment
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise store staff
  • Manage inventory intake, pricing, merchandising, and rotation of donated goods
  • Ensure strong visual merchandising aligned with The Beauty Bank brand
  • Drive sales through excellent customer service and team motivation
  • Maintain loss prevention practices and store safety standards
  • Collaborate on promotions, events, and community outreach
  • Uphold company values, policies, and sustainability goals

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual (English and French).
  • Retail management experience (thrift, resale, or nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for secondhand retail, sustainability, and community impact
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve independently
  • Experience with merchandising and inventory management
  • Comfortable with POS systems and basic reporting
  • Flexible availability, including weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
