Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of pharmacy practices, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting clinical services to optimize patient outcomes. A background in hospital or acute care settings, along with pediatric and medication administration experience, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Oversee medication inventory management, including procurement, storage, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care plans and medication therapy management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, medication records, and patient information.
  • Provide training and ongoing education to pharmacy staff on new medications, protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor clinical workflows to improve service delivery and patient safety standards.
  • Manage medication administration processes in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pharmacy practice, hospital protocols, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Prior experience working in hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric medication management and patient care practices.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data and implement appropriate pharmacy interventions.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and compliance in pharmacy operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.06-$72.63 per hour

Work Location: In person
