Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a valid 2 year work permit and strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to apply mechanical expertise and customer service skills to ensure vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Candidates with dealership experience, welding skills, and familiarity with schematics will be highly valued.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and repairs, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to accurately assemble or disassemble vehicle parts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
  • Inspect vehicles for potential issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
  • Assist with vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for customer pickup or delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing customer concerns professionally.

Experience

  • Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes.
  • Dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant hands-on experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with automotive schematics, assembly procedures, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with welding, heavy lifting, and the use of various hand and power tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices for different vehicle systems.
  • Ability to work with mechanical knowledge in a team environment while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $3,500.00-$4,500.00 per month
