Group Controller, Contract

Our client is looking for a Group Controller for a 3 months contract.
The ideal candidate would have worked within a construction environment and managed staff. The individual would be responsible for month/year-end close including budgeting and forecasting.
Location: 5 days/week in office located in Woodbridge
About the Opportunity
- Prepare and review financial statements and financial reports for both internal and external reporting requirements
- Responsible for managing accounting and analysis including appropriate accruals and reconciliations have been completed.
- Review and participate in budget and financial forecast processes, including a thorough knowledge of the key operational trends
- Proactively prepare analysis of operational and financial results for the business unit
About You
- An accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- Minimum of 7 years working within a construction company
- Prior management responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
- Experience in a process controls/improvements
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with Jonas Software is required.
