Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

Duties

  • Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to various destinations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols while operating the truck and handling freight.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair principles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
