NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC)

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a Fixed term post for 12 months
We have one LAT (Locum Appointment for Training) post available at STR level to commence on the 4th February 2026 for one year.
This post is in the medicine for the elderly department for South Glasgow. On calls include night shifts and weekend /evening working based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Gartnavel Hospital.
Daytime work includes covering the acute receiving unit, ward rounds on acute assessment and rehabilitation wards and outpatient experience in frailty clinics. The role is 100% clinical. Full GMC registration as Medical Practitioner essential.
Completion of IMT 3 or demonstration of equivalence essential. MRCP (UK) passed. Valid UK Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support qualification essential. Interest and experience in medicine for older adults and general internal medicine is essential.
