Rocks & Gems is hiring a Store Manager for our Whistler Location. We are looking for someone who prides themselves in providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal Store Manager will have 3+ years of management experience. Previous retail experience is an asset but not required. We offer a competitive training wage of $30/hr with a raise after the probationary training period is completed as well as: 100% reimbursed Ski Pass or similar Wellness Benefit, employer paid extended medical benefits, commission on large sales, a monthly bonus program . This position requires set midweek days off.

Job Duties include the following:

  • Create a professional environment that is welcoming to both customers and staff

  • Motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service

  • Assist the Assistant Store Manager and Floor Manager with the day to day to running of the store

  • Staff Supervision including providing constructive feedback

  • Following progressive disciplinary policies as required

  • Assist in the training of new staff members

  • Merchandising: stock is displayed neat and tidy in the "Rocks & Gems" manner

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the store by rotating daily, weekly and monthly tasks

  • Deposits and change runs to the bank

  • Scheduling for the Store

  • Responding to emails in a timely manner

  • submitting payroll hours to our office manager

  • helping the floor manager with the overseeing of the staff house : including move ins/outs, receiving damage deposits and inspections when needed
