Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Tracker and Itero is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
