Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our marine dealership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of marine parts, accessories, and equipment, as well as assisting with inventory organization within our shop and outdoor storage yard. This role supports daily dealership operations and requires a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a hands-on environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working around boats, engines, and marine equipment and is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced dealership setting.
Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of marine parts, accessories, and equipment
Verify incoming freight against purchase orders and packing slips
Label, organize, and store inventory within the shop and storage yard
Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging and labeling parts and equipment
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment to move freight, boats, and large components
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock organization
Support parts and service departments by locating and delivering required items
Assist with inventory counts and seasonal inventory organization
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with couriers and freight carriers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard environment
Follow all safety procedures during loading, unloading, and material handling activities
Experience
Previous shipping and receiving, parts, or yard experience is an asset
Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred; certification is an asset
Basic mechanical or marine knowledge is considered an asset
Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic math skills for inventory counting and verification
Ability to work efficiently in a team-based dealership environment
This role offers an opportunity to work in a hands-on marine dealership environment where accuracy, organization, and teamwork are essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting dealership operations and ensuring parts and equipment are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.
