Job Title: Journeyman Plumber

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential & commercial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drainage systems, and related equipment
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
  • Perform inspections to ensure systems meet standards and local codes
  • Cut, thread, weld, and assemble pipes and fittings
  • Test and verify system integrity after installation or repair
  • Work safely and in compliance with all company, industry, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and supervisors
  • Maintain accurate service and work records
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices when assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman Plumber certification or license, including Gas Fitting
  • A Gas Fitting ticket preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of plumbing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Proficient with plumbing tools and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a professional customer-service approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, crawl, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces, varying temperatures, and construction environments

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage $34 - $40 per hour based on experience and industry standards.
  • Benefits package (health, dental, etc.) available after probationary period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
