Job Title: Journeyman Plumber
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential & commercial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drainage systems, and related equipment
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
- Perform inspections to ensure systems meet standards and local codes
- Cut, thread, weld, and assemble pipes and fittings
- Test and verify system integrity after installation or repair
- Work safely and in compliance with all company, industry, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and supervisors
- Maintain accurate service and work records
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices when assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Plumber certification or license, including Gas Fitting
- A Gas Fitting ticket preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of plumbing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Proficient with plumbing tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a professional customer-service approach
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, crawl, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in tight spaces, varying temperatures, and construction environments
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage $34 - $40 per hour based on experience and industry standards.
- Benefits package (health, dental, etc.) available after probationary period.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
