Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) who speaks Arabic to provide exceptional care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in a home or assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Arabic and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through attentive caregiving, assistance with daily activities, and companionship. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and respectful environment
  • Support with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client's living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
  • Assist with dementia care strategies, including memory aids and behavioral support techniques
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition

Requirements

  • Fluency in Arabic is essential; proficiency in English is preferred
  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with people with disabilities is preferred
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
  • Ability to perform caregiving duties including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and following care plans
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Certification as a PSW or equivalent is an asset but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per year
