Client Program Director

The Client Program Director collaborates across the global teams to discover new opportunities for our clients and our community. Our vision is to be the global integrator of container logistics. The Client Program Director will be responsible for researching, planning, developing, and growing the current client's business while implementing our global integrator view to the customer. We work closely across multiple teams as an account leadership role for specific to build joint plans to grow the customers' partnership. We aim to be the trusted partner of our customers, the career choice for our people, and the growth powerhouse under One Maersk.
Role Responsibilities:
Client Partnership & Strategy
- Partner with Client Leadership, Commercial, and Product teams to drive strategic growth plans and manage client needs and expectations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client initiatives, implementations, and strategic reviews.
- Build strong customer relationships to achieve financial goals and long-term partnership growth.
Performance & Reporting
- Establish, monitor, and improve KPIs for customer satisfaction (NPS, VOC) and operational performance.
- Consolidate and report global performance data, customer insights, and key updates through monthly Executive Summaries and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Track and communicate client requirements, expectations, and trends across teams.
Program & Project Management
- Own and manage all customer and internal projects, ensuring appropriate resourcing, timelines, and delivery quality.
- Maintain updated SOPs and IOPs, ensuring adherence and timely correction of any shortfalls.
- Oversee billing accuracy, project plans, and program pipelines; ensure documentation and governance are maintained globally.
Operational Excellence & Improvement
- Review and optimize global operational processes for efficiency and service quality.
- Drive value creation through productivity and cost-reduction initiatives within both Maersk and the customer's supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with trade, HSSE, and company risk management policies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop global operational teams; manage objectives, performance, and recognition.
- Support onboarding and succession planning to ensure team continuity and success.
- Collaborate across Maersk's Customer Experience organization to share best practices and participate in workshops and SME communities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to Maersk products and solutions to better align with customer supply chain needs.
- Lead at least one high-impact project annually to drive measurable business improvement.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor Science degree preferably in Business/Supply Chain
- 3+ years relevant experience with a proven track record in operational management
- Understanding and passion for driving Operational Excellence and Value Creation in the business
- Excellent ability to build relationship with customer and internal stakeholder
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and drive outcomes with influence decision makers
- Proven and sustained track record of delivery, with focus on driving results through others
- Experience of working with wide variety of complex operational and commercial challenges
- Exposure and understanding of Business Improvement / Lean tools
- Excellent communication and influence skills
- Ability to interface with regional and globally management teams
- Being a team member supporting the global/regional/country teams proactively
- Ability to build strong effective networks
- Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify activities

Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
