MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a
Senior QA Automation
for a permanent position with a client of ours located in Vancouver. This is an on-site position 3 days per week (two days remote) in the companies Mount Pleasant based office.
What's the job?
To maintain and enhance our quality assurance processes, we are seeking a test automation expert to help set up our testing infrastructure and build initial automated test cases.
Responsibilities May Include
- Solution Selection: Contribute to the automation solution selection (Potentially Selenium or another leading solution)
- Solution Setup: Configure and deploy selected solution WebDriver and related tools for automated web application testing.
- Test Case Development: Create and document reusable test cases covering critical functionalities, regression, and end-to-end workflows.
- Framework Design: Build a scalable, modular, and maintainable test automation framework tailored to our platform.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Set up and execute tests across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
- Integration: Integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Training & Handover: Provide documentation and basic training to our QA team for future scalability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in a programming language like Python, Java, or C# (Python preferred).
- Strong knowledge of web testing, including cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with fintech platforms or regulated environments (preferred).
- Knowledge of reporting tools like Allure or ExtentReports is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) is advantageous.
- Understanding of test management tools like Jira or TestRail.
- Experience with cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
- Proficiency with our programming languages and their corresponding environment and framework: Python; Node;
