Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are essential. Prior custodial or facilities maintenance experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to a clean, safe space.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial and industrial settings
  • Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as window cleaning, fixture maintenance, or minor repairs when necessary
  • Operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, buffers, or pressure washers to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Conduct facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure operational safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Manage waste disposal efficiently and ensure all areas are free of debris and clutter
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning schedules or issues encountered
  • Assist with heavy lifting or moving furniture/equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning or maintenance activities
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests promptly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial experience or background in commercial cleaning preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques
  • Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions
  • Demonstrated reliability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Prior experience with custodial services or facilities maintenance is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
