What does the Crystal Reports Specialist do?
We are deploying a new ERP platform and need some short-term help from a detail-oriented ERP Documentation Specialist with specific experience designing reports in Crystal Reports. Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of critical business documents within our ERP ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a Crystal Reports expert who understands how to map complex data structures from an ERP database into clean, professional, and client-facing business forms.

More Specific Responsibilities…

• Design & Development: Create and modify high-quality business forms using Crystal Reports, ensuring consistency in branding, layout, and data accuracy.
• ERP Integration: Map ERP database tables and views to report fields, ensuring real-time data populates correctly on all documents.
• Form Logic: Implement complex conditional formatting, formulas, and sub-reports (e.g., displaying specific terms and conditions based on the customer's region).
• Deployment: Manage the deployment of forms into the ERP environment and perform rigorous testing to ensure output (PDF/Print) meets stakeholder requirements.
• Optimization: Review existing legacy forms to improve performance, data load speeds, and visual clarity.

What You Need

• Expert Proficiency in Crystal Reports: Deep experience with formulas, groups, sub-reports, and parameters.
• SQL Knowledge: Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries to validate data sources.
• ERP Experience: Previous experience working within an ERP environment (e.g., SAP Business One, Sage, Epicor, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Data Mapping: Strong understanding of relational databases and how to link tables (Header vs. Line-Item relationships).
• Attention to Detail: Precision in aligning fields, managing margins for pre-printed stationery, and ensuring 100% data integrity.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Computer Science.
