Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a warm, dependable, and highly detail-oriented Housekeeper to support the smooth daily functioning of our family home. This role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable environment, completing daily and weekly housekeeping tasks, assisting with laundry and linens, supporting light meal preparation, and helping with general household upkeep.

The ideal candidate is proactive, takes pride in their work, manages their time exceptionally well, and enjoys creating a well-cared-for home environment.

Key Responsibilities Daily Tasks

  • General tidying and surface cleaning
  • Wiping counters and spot-cleaning floors
  • Refreshing bedrooms and making beds
  • Light kitchen upkeep
  • Assisting with simple meal prep (washing/chopping ingredients or prepping components)
  • Washroom cleaning
  • Garbage removal

Responsibilities

  • Bathrooms: Deep clean all washrooms (sinks, toilets, showers, floors)
  • Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing, towels, and linens
  • Kitchen: Clean appliances as needed, organize pantry/fridge areas, wipe cabinets
  • Floors: Full vacuum and mop of all floors throughout the home
  • Dusting: All surfaces, window sills, décor, and baseboards
  • Organization: Maintain tidy cupboards, drawers, closets, and commonly used spaces
  • Windows: Clean interior windows weekly; exterior windows seasonally
  • Yard Care: Light outdoor duties (sweeping, tidying, watering plants, lawn care, snow removal)
  • Sewing: Basic repairs (buttons, seams, simple mending)
  • Meal Prep/Light Cooking

Additional Tasks

  • Follow weekly deep-clean focus as outlined in the household schedule
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as rotating wardrobe items or organizing storage
  • Monitor household supplies and notify when restocking is needed

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or home-care experience preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail — noticing small things, finishing tasks thoroughly, and caring about consistency
  • Strong time-management skills, able to follow a structured routine and stay on schedule daily
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Comfort with light cooking and simple meal prep
  • Respectful, and trustworthy
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move items as needed
  • Basic sewing ability is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50-$17.50 per hour
