Prior experience in customer service is a plus, as it helps ensure a positive client experience. The position requires a valid massage therapy license and adherence to all health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients during each session.
- Consult with clients to understand their health concerns and desired outcomes before treatment.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend follow-up sessions if appropriate.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress while maintaining confidentiality.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures.
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued massage therapy license or certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to massage therapy and health conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Strong communication skills to explain treatment plans and address client questions or concerns.
- Prior experience in a wellness or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and create a relaxing environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the standards of the wellness industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
