Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating and preparing delicious meals, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service. If you have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and a background in the food industry, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards

- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants

- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking processes meet health and safety regulations

- Collaborate with management to create menus that are innovative and appealing to customers

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

- Oversee food presentation and ensure that all dishes are visually appealing

- Assist with menu planning, costing, and pricing

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and flavors

- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff members

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Experience in menu planning, costing, and pricing is preferred

- Degree or certification in culinary arts is a plus

Skills:

- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve excellent results

- Restaurant: Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety regulations and customer service standards

- Food industry: Familiarity with current trends in the food industry and ability to adapt menus accordingly

- Hospitality: Understanding of providing exceptional hospitality service to guests

- Cooking: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and ability to create delicious meals from scratch

- Supervising: Experience in supervising kitchen staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations

- Team management: Ability to effectively manage a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and support

- Food service: Knowledge of food service standards, including portion control and food presentation
