Duties

  • Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and intricate nail art designs.
  • Apply knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs tailored to client preferences.
  • Provide additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair threading, and esthetic laser treatments as needed.
  • Offer hair styling services and assist with hair extensions when required.
  • Maintain proper sanitation protocols for all tools and workstations to ensure client safety.
  • Engage with clients through excellent customer service, understanding their needs and providing personalized recommendations.
  • Upsell retail products such as nail care items, skincare products, and other beauty accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and product knowledge to deliver innovative services.
  • Manage retail sales transactions accurately using retail math skills.

Requirements

  • Valid cosmetology license or relevant certification in nail artistry or esthetics.
  • Proven experience in nail care, including gel nails, acrylics, and detailed nail art.
  • Knowledge of color theory and current beauty trends related to nails and overall aesthetics.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
  • Familiarity with sanitation standards and protocols for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair threading, hair styling, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, or barbering are a plus.
  • Ability to perform retail sales and upselling techniques confidently to promote products and services.
