This is a permanent, full-time position based 100% on-site in downtown Montreal.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for network, systems, and security infrastructure

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a small team, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational priorities

  • Administer and evolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security environments

  • Oversee server, storage (NAS/SAN), and enterprise backup platforms

  • Lead infrastructure projects related to deployments, upgrades, architecture reviews, and performance optimization

  • Plan and implement system and firmware updates across all infrastructure layers

  • Analyze infrastructure performance, resolve bottlenecks, and propose technical improvements

  • Prepare and validate configurations for hardware and software deployments

  • Ensure advanced (Level 2 and 3) technical support and act as an escalation point for critical issues

  • Maintain high-quality documentation, including technical diagrams and configuration baselines

Virtualization: VMware ESXi 8

Backup: Veeam Backup & Replication

Networking and Security: Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Duo Security, Fortinet FortiGate

Cloud: OVHcloud, Amazon S3 with immutable storage

Required Expertise

  • Strong background in dynamic routing protocols and VPN technologies

  • Advanced knowledge of next-gen firewalls, particularly Fortinet FortiGate

  • Expertise with Cisco networking, including Meraki and switching environments

  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN design and physical networking components

  • Experience managing enterprise storage and Veeam backup environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft server technologies and systems administration tools

  • Ability to produce and maintain high-standard technical documentation

  • Certifications in Fortinet, Cisco, or Microsoft are strong assets
