Job Description and Duties:
Live and work in beautiful Northwestern Ontario Wildewood on Lake Savant offers housekeeping accommodations for hunters, fishermen, and outdoor enthusiasts. We are looking to fill 1 House Keeping position. Our season runs from mid-May to early October.
Successful candidates will be required to live on site in a remote location. Lodging and food are provided along with 1 week of paid vacation for those working the whole season. Lodging includes private rooms with Starlink Wi-Fi. Employees are welcome to use resort equipment for recreating on Lake Savant and the surrounding area in their free time. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Cabin cleaning after guest departure, periodic light housekeeping, cleaning and organizing of common areas, exterior building cleaning, cleaning vehicles, laundry, check in guests, arrange guest pickup times, occasionally transport guests and supplies to and from the resort using off road vehicles, instruct guests on proper use of equipment, occasional light cooking and baking, and socializing with guests and ensure they are having a great time
Qualifications (education, credentials, skills):
Successful candidates should have the following skills/attributes: Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience is preferred, but not required, a minimum of a high school diploma, hold a valid driver's license with good driving record, the ability to live and work well with coworkers and supervisors, ability to operate off road vehicles such as UTV's (is a plus and we can train you if you are not able), be customer service oriented, be able to work well independently and as part of a team, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in your work. Above all, candidates must have a positive attitude, be outgoing, and focused on customer satisfaction. Successful candidates should also have a passion for the outdoors and tolerate living in a remote location. Occasionally you will be required to work long days and up to 60 hours per week (contract includes overtime pay).
*Previous resort experience is preferred, but not required.
