Your Opportunity:
This position will aseptically manufacture positron emitting radiopharmaceuticals for the Edmonton Radiopharmaceutical Centre. Work schedule is Mon to Fri and may include day shifts and/or early morning from 3am-11:15am.
Description:
As a Radiopharmacy Specialist, you will prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals from both commercial kits and raw materials. You will assist in the use and maintenance of scientific equipment and instrumentation, radiation and workplace health and safety procedures, develop and write Standard Operating Procedures, check supply inventory, prepare and dispense radiopharmaceutical kit production and assist in the packaging and transportation of radiopharmaceuticals.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or a related field or equivalent level of education and experience. Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Certification with the Canadian College of Radiopharmaceutical Scientists (CCRS) where applicable.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A BSc in chemistry, pharmacy, or physical sciences or a technical diploma in a relevant scientific discipline such is chemical technology or other equivalent training and experience. CAMRT or CCRS certification is not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Radiation Safety and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training preferred.
