Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items following established recipes and standards
  • Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
  • Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knife skills and equipment upkeep
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods
  • Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and food presentation in a fast-paced setting
  • Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude towards serving guests
