We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles over long distances to ensure timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work with a professional team dedicated to maintaining high standards in freight transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate large commercial trucks and trailers over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Manage the loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklift or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
  • Follow company policies for cargo securement, weight limits, and safety procedures throughout all operations

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid CDL license required
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is preferred
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols in transportation environments
  • Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
  • Familiarity with long-haul routes, GPS navigation, and route planning tools is advantageous

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices, efficient freight handling, and maintaining high standards of service.
