About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Environmental Operations, the Environmental Operations Advisor will be responsible for maintaining environmental compliance for Upstream operating assets, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate standards. This role will serve as the Environmental Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and technical support to field operations.

Work Environment:

• This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area

What you'll do:

• Support progression of team initiatives and of the contaminated sites portfolio
• Manage environmental monitoring and response programs, including soil, air, vegetation, surface water, and groundwater monitoring, as well as spill response coordination.
• Support field asset teams in response to environmental incidents, such as spill clean up, non-routine flaring etc.
• Support field construction (environmental guidance, hydrostatic testing notification, etc.)
• Manage spill remediation from start until closure with regulator

Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Science or related field.
• A member in good standing or eligible for registration for P.Ag or R.T.Ag
• Minimum 2 years of field environmental experience in the oil and gas industry.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
