POSITION SUMMARY:
Suite Runners ensure exceptional service and efficient delivery of food and beverages is provided to guests in our executive and hospitality suites. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.
A typical shift includes:
- Fully responsible for an assignment of Executive and Hospitality Suites
- Providing food service, delivering food orders, and ensuring fridges are stocked with beverages
- Building strong relationships with returning guests and Suite owners in a high-touch environment
- Working collaboratively as a member of a larger team across the organization and continuously interact in a positive and professional manner
- Other duties as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a start time of approximately 4:00pm
- Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
- Completion of a Serving it Right certificate
- Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience
- Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries
- Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Be a solutions provider, committed to continuous improvement ideas and initiatives
- Display a neat, tidy, and professional presentation to meet a high level of appearance and service standards
- Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than January 2026
- This is an onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver
