  • Lead cybersecurity best practices across client environments, including secure configuration, hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and risk reduction strategies.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and switching/routing, with hands-on experience in SonicWall, Ubiquiti, or comparable network technologies.
  • Implement, monitor, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery (BCDR) solutions, including Datto and Kaseya BCDR, ensuring clients meet defined RPO/RTO requirements.
  • Proactively identify infrastructure, security, and performance risks and recommend remediation or improvement plans to internal teams and clients.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize security solutions including MFA, EDR/MDR, email security, endpoint protection, conditional access, etc.
  • Lead and participate in client infrastructure upgrades, migrations, cloud transitions, and cybersecurity projects, ensuring minimal downtime and clear communication.
  • Automate and improve service delivery through scripting, vendor best practices, monitoring tools, and internal MSP platforms; consistently seek efficiency and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in IT Glue, PSA, and client portals, including network diagrams, system configurations, SOPs, and recovery procedures.
  • Assist with incident response activities, including identification, containment, remediation, and post-incident documentation for security-related events.
  • Mentor junior technicians, provide technical guidance, assist with onboarding, and help elevate overall team capability and service quality.
  • Collaborate with leadership on standards, policies, and long-term technology roadmaps for clients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of professional IT experience, with at least 3 years in a Tier 3 or Senior Systems role, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Windows Server (2016–2025), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Proven hands-on experience with networking technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing/switching, and platforms such as SonicWall and Ubiquiti.
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization and cloud platforms, including VMware, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, incident response, endpoint security, identity protection, and compliance-aligned best practices.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, identify, and respond to security-related incidents, ranging from minor alerts to major infrastructure or security events.
  • Strong experience with BCDR planning, testing, and recovery in production environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
